The relief programs in the 1930's helped recover the economy after the stock market crash in 1929. There were two relief programs; The Civilian Conservation Corporation (CCC) created in 1933. The Works Progress Administration (WPA) created in 1935. Both programs were an immediate fix to help those who were in need of jobs, food, and shelter. The Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA) was created in 1932. The New Deal era brought about these relief programs to balance out the market.
