The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) helped control flooding and provided electric power. The Rural Electrification Administration (REA) was also another program like the TVA during the New Deal that helped all over the country. The TVA was created in 1933 and is a reform program. The TVA builds dams to provide electric power and control flooding.
